STRUMICA-RADOVIS
WINE DISTRICT
According to the geographical location, the Strumica region is situated on the south-east¬ern part of the Republic of Macedonia, yet, because of the strong southern position and the strong influence of the mountain Belas¬ica, this region belongs to the Continental sub-mediterranean climate zone. According to the climate parameters, it can be conclud¬ed that the climate conditions in this region are closer to those that influence on the Sko¬pje valley, compared to the Gevgelija and Va¬landovo regions.
The average monthly air temperature var¬ies from 0,9 °С in January to 23.6 °С in July or 12.7°С average per year, i.e., 17.3°С average during the vegetation period.

The rainfall distribution is similar to the one in Gevgelija-Valandovo vineyard, but their amount is lower. Due to these reasons, the drought intensity is more expressed. The precipitation amount per year is 527.5 mm, and the vegetation amount is 287.1 mm.
